A Birthday And A Grand Opening

Was the night of the 2nd Annual Fuzz Day Celebration, celebrating my typists RL birthday in SL. Sad thing was, due to RL problems, Angelica was unable to dj for me. Much as I love and respect the other DJ's I know, Angelica is the only one I wanted playing the music if it wasn't me. So, I played the music.

Nice turnout. Lunar and Tensai did a great job with Club Gearz, from the Tabernacle DJ Rig, to the gears under the dancefloor, which Doctor Mason had thought hadn't rezzed. I think we forgot to tell him it was a glass floor.

After tonight, I think Club Gearz will be a popular place, not just with citizens of Steelhead, Caledon, New Babbage, and other similar places, but also with those who've yet to visit the Steampunk/Gaslamp Fantasy sims. Who knows, they may decide to stay and forget about all the bling and sex of the mainland.

It was a very nice birthday celebration, thanks to those who came and to those who wished me a happy birthday. It's a shame that people we know in RL can't be like the people we know in SL. The world would be a much better place.

Still more work to be done to it, but it's coming along quite nicely. At present, Club Gearz will just be a place to hang out, listen to music, and enjoy everyone's company. But, maybe down the road, the place will have special events. It'll also be available for private parties and such. Drop me an IM, also be sure to let me know if you'd like to join the Club Gearz group. Should be a blast.
