They're Remaking True Grit

Whole lot of remakes and reimaginings going on in Hollywood. The Coen Brothers are doing their take on True Grit. Based on the novel by Charles Portis, best remembered as the 1969 film starring John Wayne as Rooster Cogburn.

This new version has Jeff Bridges in the Cogburn role, with Matt Damon as LeBeouf, and Hailee Steinfeld as Mattie Ross. I like Bridges' look in the trailer. With it being the Coen Brothers, I'll hold off judgement until I see the film. I think, though, that Hailee Steinfeld will be the one who'll make this film worth seeing, and be the talk of the town.
